I think you mean degree here, not 214^0, any no. ^0 is equal to 1 and that would not make sense
:
let a = the angle
then
(90-a) = the complement
and
(180-a) = the supplement
;
These are given as = to 214, therefore we have:
(90-a) + (180-a) = 214
Combine like terms
270 - 2a = 214
-2a = 214 - 270
-2a = -56
a =
a = +28 degrees
