Umm if you connect a point in the interior with the rest of the vertices, you would form eight triangles, not ten. Given a fixed vertex A1, you can create triangles A1A2A3, A1A3A4, ..., A1A9A10, in which there are eight triangles, sum of the interior angles is 8*180 = 1440.
