if the complemnt of an angle is one third of its supplement.find the angles
Let x = the angle
9o-x = the complement of the angle
180-x = the supplement of the angle
90-x = (180-x)/3
3(90-x) = 180-x
270 - 3x = 180 -x
270 - 180 = 3x - x
2x = 90
x = 45
The angle is 45.
The complement is 45 (90-45).
The supplement is 135 (180-45).
