Question 419466: two angles are supplementary. the measure of one is 15 degrees more than twice the measure of the other. what is the measure of each angle?
i have tried plugging and chugging options, but none of them work. i came up with formula but i dont know how to figure the measure of one of the angles. the formula i came up with is 180-(15+2*X).

two angles are supplementary. the measure of one is 15 degrees more than twice the measure of the other. what is the measure of each angle?
----
1st angle: x
2nd angle: 180-x
---------------------------
Equation:
180-x = 2x+15
180 = 3x+15
3x = 165
x = 35 degrees
180-x = 145 degrees
