Hi,

Letting x represent the length and (x/2 + 4) the width

Perimeter is the distance around the pool.

Question states:

  x + x + (x/2 + 4) + (x/2 + 4) = 100m

Solving for x

    3x + 8 = 100m

       3x = 92m

        x = 30.67m , the length of the pool, width is 19.33m   (30.67/2  + 4)

CHECKING our Answer

 2 * 30.67m + 2*19.33m = 100m
