a couple of assumptions by me to answer your question:
1. i assume you mean "2 radical 2" is
2. i assume this is the length of a side of the square and not circle.
Cut the square in half from one corner to the opposite corner, creating 2 right angled triangles. Use Pythagoras, to find the hypotenuse, a:

Hence a=4
a is the diameter of the circle, so, as the circumference = pi*a. the answer is 4pi.
