how do you solve if the second angle in a triangle is one third as large as
the first angle and the third angle is two thirds as large as the first angle?
:
Let x = the 1st angle
then
x = 2nd angle
and
x = 3rd angle
:
the three angles of any triangle = 180 degree
therefore
x + x + x = 180
combine like terms
2x = 180
x = 90 degrees, is the 1st angle
then
*90 = 30 degrees is the 2nd angle
and, obviously:
*90 = 60 degrees is the 3rd angle
