Question 27306: A right triangle is a triangle with one angle measuring 90°. In a right triangle, the sides are related by Pythagorean Theorem, c^2=a^2+b^2 , where c is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the 90° angle). Find the hypotenuse when the other 2 sides’ measurements are 6 feet and 8 feet.
I need some help!

In the pythagorean theorem the two sides are (a) and (b), While the hypotenuse is represented by (c). The two sides are given to us; 6, and 8.
We can plug these numbers in:
6^2 + 8^2 = c^2 Do the left side of the equation first
36 + 64 = c^2 Add the left side together
100 + c^2 Now take the square root of 100
c = 10
Therefore the hypotenuse is 10feet long
