A cut is made 1 ft.below the upper left corner to the right for 4 ft.
then down 1 ft. and then to the right another 4 ft.
Now slide the top piece 4 ft. to the right and down 1 ft.
Now you have a 12 by 2 ft. piece to cover the hole.
