Question 219354: Word problem from instructor: Farmer Jones has 385 yards of #38 ga. chicken wire fencing material available with which to build a rectangular chicken pen alongside a river, using the river as one side of the pen (so that the fencing material is not used for the side of the pen adjacent to the river). Letting L represent the length of the pen side parallel to the river, and W represent the length of the pen side perpendicular to the river, find the value of L which will yield the pen of largest area.
