First find the volume in a square pyramid.

Next find the volume in one cube shaped apartment

cubic feet
Now see how times larger in volume the pyramid is compared to the apartment

So the volume of 17183 complete apartments fits in there.

Volume of pyramid =(1/3)*Base*Height=(1/3)(771^2)(486)=96,299,442
Volume of rect solid is l*w*h=35*20*8=5600
ratio is 96,299,442/5600=17,196.3
