1. The perimeter of a rectangle is 24 centimeters. The length of the rectangle is four more than the width. What is the length of the rectangle.

Formula: perimeter = 2(L + W)
Let width = "x" cm , then length = "x+4" cm
24 = 2(x+4 + x)
12 = 2x+4
2x = 8
x = 4 cm (this is the width)
x+4 = 8 cm (this is the length)

1st: 2x
2nd: 2x+2
3rd: 2x+4
