area = x(x+5)/2=250
x(x+5)=500
x^2+5x-500=0
=


x=20 or x= -25 but x must be > 0 so solution is x=20

The base and height of a triangle must be perpendicular to each other, then in a right triangle height is equal to the leg of the triangle, in this case a=h
