2(x+6)+2*5=26
2x+12+10=26
2x=26-12-10
2x=4
x=4/2
x=2
6+2=8 is the ad measurement.
8*5=40 answer for the area of the rectangle.
proof:
2*8+2*5=26
16+10=26
26=26
