A hot-air balloon, headed due east at an average speed of 25 miles per hour and at a constant altitude of 125 feet,
passes over an intersection. Find the expression for the distance d (measured in feet) from the balloon
to the intersection t seconds later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Convert 25 miles per hour to feet per second
    25 miles per hour =  =   feet per second
Apply the Pythagorean formula and get the desired expression for the distance
    d =  feet.
Solved, with complete explanations.
Notice that the direction, in which the balloon moves along a straight line - does not matter.
It can be East, West, North or South - the formula for the distance from the intersection remains the same.
