Question 1123549: the length of a pole is said to be 6 meters to the nearest meters. what is the range of its actual measurement. find the percentage error.
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
That would be 6+/-0.5 (6.5 actually round to 7 but 5.5 would round to 6, and anything just less of 0.5 would round down). It is 0.5 m in the limit or 8.33%, 0.5/6 or 1/12.
To be consistent with rounding, [5.5, 6.5} is the interval notation for this range.
