Question 1103880: if you take square of cardboard with sides that are 8 feet long, and cut congruent squares from each corner of the cardboard sheet, then fold the sides up and tape the edges, the volume of the box depends on the size of the squares that are cut from the corners, I need to write a function for V(x) Where V is volume and X is the length of one side of the cut squares, I thought it might be
V(x)=x(8-x)(8-x)

Make a drawing and decide on what the dimensions really are. The four cut corners affect two of the dimensions on BOTH SIDES.
x is the side length of each square to cut.
