Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The hypotenuse is sqrt (7^2+11^2)=sqrt(170)
The ratio of the legs is 7:11:sqrt(170)
the sum is 18 +sqrt (170). Divide that into 2015 and can partition the number.
It divides in 64.92 times. I will use 64.9196
So the right triangle is 7* each of the ratios
454.44
714.12
846.45
With rounding error, that is 2015.
square each side
206,515.71
509,967.37
716,477.60; the sum of the top two is 716483.08
The shorter leg is 454.44 cm long

Let legs and hypotenuse = , , and
(1)
(2)
(3)
--------------------------
would be the shsorter leg
There are 3 equations and 3 unknowns, so it's solvable
(3)
and
(2)
(2)

(1)
(1)
Multiply both sides by
(1)
(1)
-------------------------------------------
You can use qudratic formula to find , then
use (3) to find
Check my math -the numbers are pretty huge !
