Question 1048529: The area of a right triangle is 24m squared.
One leg is 22.0 meters longer than the other. Find the lengths of the legs.please show work
Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1/2)bh = 24
bh = 48
x(x+22) = 24
x^2 + 22x - 48 = 0
(x + 24)(x-2)= 0
x = 2m, shorter leg. Longer leg = 24m
AND
(1/2)2m*24m = 24m^2 CHECKS!
