If it is a circular track
of 440 yards long.(Circumference)
Circumference = Pi x diameter
440 = Pi x 2r (Diameter = 2 x radius)
Radius = 440/2 x Pi
Area of circle = Pi x (440/2 x Pi)^2
Area of circle = 15406.i9 yds^2
= 15,400 yds^2 (nearest 100 yd^2)
