in nickos
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a nickel is worth 5 cents.
5 cents is worth .05 dollars.
each nickel is therefore worth .05 dollars.
you have 2.75 dollars.
take 2.75 and divide it by .05 and you get 55 nickels.
55 * .05 = 2.75
why is 5 cents worth .05 dollars.
1 dollar is worth 100 cents.
1 cent is therefore worth .01 dollars because 1/100 = .01
5 cents is worth 5 * .01 = .05 dollars.
