Question 993295: A toy company spends $1500 per day for factory expenses plus $8 to make each teddy bear. Each teddy bear costs $12.00. What equation should be used to find the number of bears t the company has to sell in one day to equal its daily cost?
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
12t= 8t+1500 subtract 8t, both sides
4t= 1500 Divide both sides by 4
t= 1500/4
t= 375 teddy bears.
Proof:
12 x 375= 8(375)+1500
4,500= 3,000+1500
4,500= 4,500 We have the correct answer, you have to make 375 teddy bears.
