44cm=2(L+W)...Divide each side by 2
22cm=L+W...Substitute for L
22cm=3W+W
22cm=4W...Divide each side by 4

L=3W=3(5.5cm)=16.5cm... ANSWER 2: The length is 16.5 cm.
