Answer by kiljoy(51)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We're going to use c for children and a for adults here.

Now substitute, solve the first problem for a or c, lets do c.

Now plugin our c value into the 2nd problem.

Now, plugin our a value (700) to solve for c.

This means, 1500 children and 700 adults went to the park.
