Let multiplicative factor be x

Then amount of walnuts to buy = 1(x), or x

Amount of almonds to buy = 2(x), or 2x

Amount of raisins to buy = 3(x), or 3x



Cost of x lbs of walnuts: 12x

Cost of 2x lbs of almonds: 2x(9), or 18x

Cost of 3x lbs of raisins: 3x(5), or 15x

We then have: 12x + 18x + 15x = 15

45x = 15
