Length of 1 side of square: S

With four side-by-side squares, width = S, and length = 4S

2(S + 4S) = 15 ------ perimeter of rectangle is 15 m

2(5S) = 15

10S = 15

S, or width of rectangle: , or 1.5 m

Length of rectangle:      4(1.5), or 6 m

Area of rectangle:        1.5(6), or  sq m
