0.03*4000+0.1(x)=0.06(4000+x)
Multiply out.
120+0.1(x)=240+0.06x
combine like terms
0.04x=120
isolate x
x=120/0.04
Divide
x=3000
check
0.03*4000+0.1(x)=0.06(4000+x)
120+0.1*3000=0.06(4000+3000)
120+300=0.06(7000)
420=420
ok
