Your 3% raise added $96 to your monthly income. What was your salary before the raise and what is it now?

Assume your monthly salary was "x"::
Equation:
0.03x = 96
x = 9600/3
x = $3200. (Salary before change)
3200+96 = $3296 (Salary after change)
