Six friends decided to buy a house.
So they agreed to give the same amount of money for the house, but later two of them withdrew from the agreement and the four friends left had to give an addition of 4500$ in order to buy the house.
What is the price of the house?
:
Let a = price of the house
Then original amt required from the 6 friends = a/6,
:
+ 4500 =
multiply by 12
2a + 12(4500) = 3a
54000 = 3a - 2a
a = $54,000 for the house
