:
(a) what is the fixed total cost to charter the aircraft?
let c = total cost of the aircraft
Actual cost person - cost with 4 more people = $12
- = 12
multiply by 360, to clear the denominators, results:
10c - 9c = 360(12)
x = $4320, total cost of the aircraft

(b) what is the cost per person if 40 people charter the aircraft?
= $108 per person
