Six years from now, you will be inheriting $100,000. What is this inheritance worth to you today if you can earn 6 percent interest, compounded annually?
------------------
It's strange wording.
If it means what amount now would be worth $100,000 in 6 yrs:
100000 = AMT*(1.06)^6
AMT = 100000/(1.06)^6
AMT =~ $70,496.05
