Question 556181: You received a $5 an hour pay raise. Your original pay was $22 an hour. What percent of a pay raise did you get ?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
pay is 22 dollars an hour and you get a 5 dollar an hour raise.
5/22 = .227272727 * 100% = 22.73% raise.
your pay is now 27 dollars an hour.
27/22 = 1.22727272727 - 1 = .22727272727 * 100% = 22.73% raise.
you can calculate it either way.
