Question 493853: This is the word problem:
How can $54,000 be invested part at 8% annual simple interest and the remainder at 10% annual simple interest, so that the interest earned by the two accounts will be equal.
I've tried:
.08x + .10(54,000-x) = 54,000 and it didnt work also
.08x + .10(54,000-x) + = x/2
I need to know if im setting it up right and what I set it too
