Question 469994: please help me solve this word problem: A car hire company offers two plans A and B. In plan A, a customer pays a flat fee of $20 for the day plus 5 cents for each kilometer. In plan B, a customer pays a flat fee of $15 for the day plus 7 cents for each kilometer. For how many kilometers would a customer pay the same amount for the two plans?

2000+5n=1500+7n
500=2n
n=250
The plans are equal at 250 kilometers..
