Let x represent amount invested at 4%. thne 3x would be the amount at 5%
Question states
.04x + .05*3x = $5600
.19x = 5600
x = $29,473.68, amount invested at 4%
CHECKING our Answer
.04*$29,473.68 + .05*8821.05 = $1178.95 + $4422.05 = $5600
