Question 369838: You are designing a house with three 3-feet-wide windows on the back of the house. There are 4 feet between each end window and an edge of the house. The width of the house is 33 feet. How far apart should the windows be?
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Subtract the 4 feet from each end, 33 minus 8 leaves 25. You want to evenly distribute 3 times 3' = 9 feet of window into a space 25 feet wide. 25 minus 9 is 16. 16 has to be divided evenly between the two spaces on either side of the center window. 8 feet.
