Answer by alanc(27) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let total asset be x
half of x has .06 interest
other half of x has 0.14 interest
let x = a + a
.06*a + 0.14*a = 680
a + a = x
0.2*a = 680
a = 680/0.2 = 3400
x = 2*a = 6800
she invested $6800
