15000-10000 = 5000 for the dollar mark up.
33.3% for the percent mark up on cost.
I'm not really sure if its the right answer.

15000-10000 = 5000 for the dollar mark up.

$5000 is the dollar markup.
It was "marked up" from 10000.
Use the original as the base --> 5000/10000 = 50% markup
