she paid $300 for x melons
..
she made a profit of 1.50 per melon
she sold x-30 melons
she made a total profit of 1.50*( x -30)
..
1.50(x-30)= 300
1.50x - 45=300
1.50x = 300+45
1.50x = 345
x= 345/1.50
x= 230 melons
