Total profits of the sales were $4980; there were 15 more graphing calculators sold than the scientific calculator. The scientific calculator�s price is $18.00 and the graphing calculator is $87.00. Determine how many of each calculator did the bookstore sell.

Let the number of graphing calculators sold be x+15
Let the number of scientif calculators sold be x
Equation:
18(x)+87(x+15)=4980
18x+87x=4980-1305
105x=3675
x=35
35+15=50
Hence, the number of graphing calculators sold were 50 and the number of scientif calculators sold were 35.
