The cost, C (in dollars), of renting the office space is given by the function C(x) = 0.95x + 350, where x is the number of hours the building has been rented. What is the cost to rent the building for 400 hours?
If the cost of renting the building is $1,000, how many hours was the building rented?

What is the cost to rent the building for 400 hours?
If the cost of renting the building is $1,000, how many hours was the building rented?

C(x) = 0.95x + 350
C(400) = 0.95(400) + 350
C(400) = $730 (Cost to rent for 400 hours)

1000 = 0.95x + 350
0.95x = 650
x = 681.24 hours (hours it was rented)
