Peter has 40 pumpkins to sell. He will sell them all if he sets his price at $1.00 each,but will sell one less pumpkin for each 5 cents increase in price. What price should he charge in order to maximize his earnings? (Show algebraically)

Well i can not understand what you exactly mean(i am from BG-bulgaria) but if he has 40 pumpkins and he sells all of them for 1 dollar and one for 1.05 dollars then he has to earn 40.05 dllars.He has to make all of them wiht one price.That price is 1.0125 but if he wants he can sell them with a price $1.1.Sorry if i did not help you enought but it is a hard one ;).
