Andrew invested a total of P18,000, part at 5% and part at 9%. If his income for one year from the 9% investment was P100 less than his income from the 5% investment, how much was invested at each rate?
with solution and answer plz

let him invest x at 5%
Interest obtained for 1 year will be 5/100 * x
He will invest 18000-x at9%
Interest obtained for 1 year will be (18000-x)*9/100
(18000-x)*9/100=5/100 *x -100
162000-9x /100 = 5x-10000 /100
162000-9x=5x-10000
14x= 172000
x=12285.7 @ 5%
18000-12285.7=5714.3 at9%
