Question 284400: The revenue achieved by selling x graphing calculators is figured to be x(32-0.2x) dollars. The cost of each calculator is $16. How many graphing calculators must be sold to make a profit (revenue - cost) of at least $307.20?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
revenue-cost=profit
x(32-.2x)-16x=307.20
x=32 and 48
the max will be at 40
There is obviously something wrong with the formula if the same profit is made at 32 and 48 pieces
