Question 2348: If my sales were at 100,000 last year and 400,000 this year what was the percentage increase?
Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
% increase/decrease is ALWAYS based upon the original, so it is:
(change/original)
change is 400,000 - 100,000 = 300,000
original is 100,000
so % increase = (300,000/100,000)*100 = 300%
