data given 500 tickets are sold
$7.50 for adults and $4for child
by trial and error method
to find total 3312.50$
considering 500=(250+250)=500
we calculate 250*$7.50=1875.00+ 250*4=1000
we will get 2875.00 $ so this is wrong
by this way we take depends upon our practice
we take (375+125)=500
375*7.50=2812.50$
and 125*4=500$ so
2812.50+500= 3312.50 $
this is right answer
so 375 adults and 125 tickets for childrens were sold
