If B gives up 2 fish he will have B - 2 fish. And if A gets 2 fish, she will have A + 2 fish. And we know that A now has 2 times as many fish as B, so:

If A gives up 4 fish, she will have A - 4 fish. If B gets 4 fish he will have B + 4 fish. The problem tells us that these two quantities are equal, so:

Since you have been given a word problem that requires solving simultaneous linear equations, you must already know how to find the solution set of a system. Solve the above system for A and B. I suggest you use the substitution method.
