Let n be the number of nickles.
2n+n+(n+1)
.10*2n + .05n + .01(n+1) = 1.31
.2n+.05n+.01n+.01=1.31
.26n=1.30
n=5
There are 5 nickles, 10 dimes and 6 pennies
