so we need to figure out how much the salary increased on a yearly basis
:
15000-5100=9900 the amount of increase over 15 years
:
9900/15=660

so salaries have increased by 660 dollars per year
:
S(t)=660t+5100.......is our equation :t is time in years

2010 would be year 24
:
S(24)=660(24)+5100=15840+5100=$20940
