Question 165390: Another word problem.
"The ratio of interest received to money invested is 3 to 20. Find the interest if $1352 is invested."
My idea of a solution would be:
Ratio 3 to 20
Let x = Interest Received,
20(1352) / 3x ??
I've tried this a few different ways, and no of them make sense. Could you please help. It seems simple, yet complicated. Thank you.

yes so the ratio is interest received/money invested or 3/20 so we have where x is the interest received when you invest 1352 dollars . Cross multiplying we get 20x=1352(3) so
20x=4056 so x=203 rounded to the nearest dollar.
